Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these instances. Ms. O'Dell was honored by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
